Meet Our Dentist
Dr. Paul Ferguson
Dr. Ferguson grew up in Monmouth County, NJ, and is a graduate of Rutgers University. He went on to pursue a career in dentistry and graduated from New Jersey Dental School at UMDNJ. At dental school, Dr. Ferguson excelled both at academics and leadership. He served as class president, and was awarded the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society award and the Chesky Kleiner Humanitarian award. Following graduation, he completed a hospital residency in General Dentistry at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Ferguson has owned and operated Ferguson Dental Care since 1999. In addition to working at his practice, Dr. Ferguson is a clinical instructor at Middlesex College in the Dental Hygiene Department.
Dr. Ferguson continually pursues excellence in dentistry. He earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has advanced his skills and knowledge at both The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, FL and the Kois Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Ferguson is a Past-president of the New Jersey Cast Gold Study Club (a chapter of the Academy of R.V. Tucker Study Clubs). He is also a member of the Jersey Coast Dental Forum, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Operative Dentistry, and the Academy of R.V. Tucker Study Clubs, the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and other dental organizations.
Dr. Ferguson takes an amount of continuing education every year that far exceeds licensing requirements. He is committed to providing his patients with the most advanced dental techniques and the highest quality dentistry.
Dr. Ferguson feels lucky to both work and live in Fair Haven, and he can be spotted on River Road as he walks to and from work each day. He actively serves his community, serving as the long-time Treasurer of the Fair Haven Business Association, and as a member of the Fair Haven Fields Natural Area Advisory Committee, and volunteering at the Fair Haven Firemen's Fair each summer.
Dr. Ferguson enjoys getting to know his patients and learning more about their interests. His interests include cooking, gardening, the occasional round of golf, cheering on the NY Yankees, and doing the New York Times crossword puzzle religiously. He and his wife, Carolyn, enjoy time with their families and friends, the beach, and the Monmouth County Parks. Dr. Ferguson especially enjoys traveling and hiking in our National Parks. He looks forward to welcoming you and your family to his office.

Laurie is a Registered Dental Assistant. In addition to her excellent chairside skills, she has really gotten to know many of our patients over the years and knows how to keep them comfortable when they are here.

Carolyn received her dental hygiene training from West Liberty University. She ensures that patient education and attention to overall oral health are a part of every patient visit.
